Earthquake tremors have been felt in Bangladesh this morning. The earthquake occurred at approximately 9:05 p.m. According to the Center for Seismology, the intensity of the earthquake was recorded at 5.6 on the Richter scale. The earthquake was at a depth of 55 km (6.2 mi).
The tremors were so strong that they were felt till Ladakh, India. However, there has been no information about any loss of life or property due to the earthquake.

Tremors felt in many parts of West Bengal
The tremors of the Bangladesh earthquake were also felt in various parts of West Bengal. West Bengal Disaster Management Department said that at present there is no news of any damage from anywhere in the state.
Kolkata Police and Kolkata Municipal Corporation officials also said there were no reports of loss of life or property from the eastern metropolis.
